«, is a live art installation and architectural intervention, first shown at the Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool, UK. The piece transforms the architectural spaces of a given venue or cityscape with only the utilitarian materials of cable ties and barrier tape. Armed with 1000M (1km) of barrier tape, harnessed around the waist and a stash of cable ties, the artist explores, traces, and temporarily alters transitional spaces in the urban environment. Releasing the tape to align and tie to suitable fixture points en route, the journey of the artist through the space is directly mapped, as the work expands and takes form in real time. Each performance of « is site responsive, its realisation determined by contextual factors such as fixture points, access requirements, and traffic. In this way the artist works intuitively to re-imagine each site. The piece aims to address issues of institutional control and sanctions applied within a given space, by aiming to make visible the concealed divisions and borders existing within both public and private territories so by inviting people to reflect upon the spaces which we inhabit.

Bound or Rebound (2012)
For the work Bound or Rebound, the artist rolled a ball-like form between Castlefield Gallery and Blank Space Gallery, Manchester. The object was constructed from postal elastic bands and keys collected during 'urban wanderings' over a number of years. Prompted by an interest in the meditative potential of collection and methodical repetition, the artist described a repeated circular trajectory between the two galleries. He collected any keys and elastic bands found en route, incorporating them into the whole.
Ball = found postal elastic bands, found keys.
